DOE announces 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) Grant Competition for school year 2012-2013

The Hawaii State Department of Education (HIDOE) is accepting applications for a five year 21st CCLC grant from non-profit agencies, city or county government agencies, faith-based organizations, institutions of higher education, and for-profit corporations. The program’s purpose is to establish or expand community learning centers that provide students with academic enrichment opportunities along with activities designed to complement the students’ regular academic program. A consortium of two or more agencies, organizations or entities may apply.

HIDOE strongly encourages and highly recommends that eligible agencies and organizations collaborate with schools that primarily serve a high concentration of economically disadvantaged students.

All 21st CCLC grants are awarded on a competitive basis based on the availability of funds.
